Mining Summit Uzbekistan

On October 10, Lab Manager Dr. Jaksch (see photo) and Lab Leader Dr. Giese presented the Helmholtz Innovation Lab "3D Underground Seismics" at the International Mining Summit in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The conference took place under the auspices of the “Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises and Institutes of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan” in the building of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The main topics of the conference were “Development perspectives and technological innovations of the mining industry”, digital transformation and safety in the mining industry. In the latter area in particular, discussions were held between participants of the event and the 3D-US Lab on the contribution of underground seismic measurements to increasing safety in mining.
