The Helmholtz Centre Potsdam German Research Centre for Geosciences GFZ is the provider of the "3duslab.com" website. The 3D-US Lab is the technology network for the market establishment and further development of 3D underground seismics. The technologies developed so far and the know-how of over 20 years are made available to customers from business, politics and research.
The 3D-US Lab is financed by the Helmholtz Association's Impulse and Networking Fund for a period from January 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2024. A continuation of the 3D-US Lab is also aimed for after the end of the funding phase. An interim evaluation is planned after 2.5 years. The responsible working group leader is Dr. Rüdiger Giese, geomechanics and scientific drilling. More Information
